‘Music does not excite until it is performed’

Benjamin Britten

Across the UK in 2013 there were celebrations of the life and works of Benjamin Britten. The above quotation from the man himself encapsulates the essence of what Jayne’s audiences find so engaging in her concerts. Here is a singer widely recognised as a true performer, immersing herself in the music which it is her obvious delight and privilege to sing. Audiences are left in no doubt that Jayne is a performer who absorbs every note and nuance and who is able to communicate the same, with energy and passion, to her listeners.

“A confident performance by gifted singer. With well-founded confidence and an open personality, she has the acting ability to underline …. every emotion she sang about.”
(Eastern Daily Press 17th January 2011)

“Her tone was full yet delicate …..Once again, Jayne’s voice was the perfect instrument in terms of style and execution…..Her ability to move between registers and to execute the decorative motifs was astonishing, and the beauty of her voice was breath taking.”
